The Ipad2 is just an ageing superstar that refuses to retire or even worse Apple's way of milking the brainwashed out there for all they can. I maintain the Ipad2 is, well; not too shabby a device, but is still nowhere close to their competitors, so for their sake I hope Apple better have an Ipad 3 lurking about somewhere. I reckon the only reason the Ipad 2 is out is cos Ipad3 is not yet developed and should Apple delay in launching a new device they would've been crucified by the likes of RIM, HP and Motorola!
So I suggest you hang in there a while and wait until you can get a hands-on experience of the Motorolla Xoom, Samsung Tab 2 and the most mouth watering of all RIM's PlayBook!

Can't imagine why no one is talking bout the Pixel Qi screen. These screen allow you to read a tablet in bright daylight, thereby eliminating the need for a backlight, thereby saving power consumption. The only guys to have incorporated pixel qi onto their tablets is a company called notion link and the tablet's called Adam!

Unless off-course you'd like to follow the masses and be a part of the most brilliant advertising campaign in history of marketing.

Good question - I'm probably just being a sucker of the hype!

But i am thinking:

1. Web surfing
2. Magazines & Newspapers (I prefer paper books)
3. Some Movie / TV watching (nothing pirated)
4. Youtube and the like.

Does the ipad have flash? if not, then it's not worth buying for surfing or videos. i would get the xoom if i were you, that's what i just bought and it's fantastic.

What is a zoom and who makes it? What exactly does it do?

motorala makes it, a 10" tablet running android 3.0. has dual cameras, 64 b hard drive. same thing as the ipad, just running android vs apple's iOs operating system.
