I have 'land lines" where I live. For those who do not know what that is: the voice comes into your house thru a wire (the spagetti looking thing but plastic with metal inside).

Does anyone else?

No, not really some people just have a mobile phones...

I have a landline too. But he is right I know some people who does not have landline. Well they are single people living alone and they are never home!

if I can send messages to land line I will consider using it beside my mobile...

I have a BT Business line into my house in the UK, and to Mahmoud, you can send text (sms) messages to land lines, but not picture messages Some woman comes on and speaks them to you.

I have a land line into my place in JBR provided by the wonderful DU. Don't ask me what the phone number is, as I have no idea. I never had any calls on it.

I know plenty of people who don't have landlines. Can't fathom it really because local to local calls are free.
