Dubai cops have cautioned residents that the 999 phone number is only for emergencies, after a man called it 52 times to complain about traffic noise.
The defendant, who has pleaded not guilty to a charge of annoying the police, called 999 from his mobile phone.
“I was surprised when they didn’t come and respond to my calls, so I kept calling,” he said.
