On a global scale, we are abetting the construction of a new thought crime, one which is strongly reminiscent of the way the Soviet Union dealt with the "enemies of the people". And our media and politicians are giving it their blessing.

That's exactly what this is about.

Followers of Islam have been intolerant of free thought, scathing criticism, rational discussion (just look at this forum!!!) and open critique. In fact, any true dialogue is non-existent. What we get instead is a monologue.

They've set up firewalls about what is allowed and not allowed to be said about Islam or Muslims.

If the West had taken this approach of what is allowed to be said about Western values, religion, society, culture and people, we would still be living in the 12th century, right alongside where the Islamic world is today and wishes to remain.

The only truly sad thing I find about our present situation is that the *only* free expression of ideas and unhindered inquiry of all things considered sacred is carried out only by those in the West. We do not have a Muslim counterpart. Worse, our Left, who have long established themselves the as vanguard of open exploration against established values, have chosen to support reactionary elements in the Muslim world.

For them, crossing the line, pushing the envelope of the forbidden is now suddenly unacceptable. But that's not surprising, the Western Left committed treason with the Soviet Union and communist bloc states. After state socialism collapsed they needed a new totalitarian ideology they could slip into bed with.

So, too, will Islamism fall. It's just a question of whether the West can learn any lessons from these recent experiences.

That is so true, "intolerant to free thought", this explains why Muslims do not have Albert Einstein, Paul Mc Cartney, BB King, Renoir, Bill Gates, Neil Armstrong, Tolstoi, and Nobel prizes.
Talent and creation can only come with free thought.

But people who have "free tought" being routinely assasinated, as in the examples of death squads (Dubai assasination) employed by mossad- arranged all in all agreement with MI6 and CIA..

What about Assasinations of Iraqi brains, sure the killers weren't Iraqis themselves...
