What does the water pump in the front of my house do?
Ours have been constantly on for the whole time but we notice that other houses in the area will only come on intermittently.

When we turn it off we still have water throughout the house. But it must have a purpose?

Are you living in the Springs by chance? We had a problem with ours and it was running constantly because water was leaking under our driveway. You might want to get it all checked out to see if you have a leak somewhere and water is being constantly pumped.

Yes, must be one of the freehold developments. Everywhere else has the water tank on the roof and no need for a pump.
S&O, Is your pump in the front of the house?
You could also have a broken pump cutoff switch.

The tank is under the garage i think. You'll need to get the pump looked at.

My pump is at the side with an above ground tank.

The underground tanks are notorious for leaking, at least thats what I have read on many occasions.
