So anyone going to the gig? I know it won't be the same as the line-up with Slash, saw him with Velvet Revolver a few years ago. But it should be a good night - if er they turn up lol

I wouldn't look out of the window if they were on in my garden. My friend went to see them last month. He said they were booed when they came on as they were two hours late and Axel Rose has lost whatever he had. They were excellent in their day. I went to see them in Newcastle in 1992 and they were amazing. Your post has spurred me into listening to Knocking on Heavens Door on youtube. One of his finest. Why can't people give up while they're ahead?

Pan People! Oh dear someone is really showing their age, thankfully I'm not old enough to remember them.

TOTP was a great show, they did stop all the miming in the end. There were some cracking performances.

Later with Jools Holland has real music, played live.

The best music show ever was The Old Grey Whistle Test. There was some random stuff on there but also some classic performances and always, always live.

I found the tights restricted some blood flow and hence dance moves, in particular the splits were limited to a groan. So speedos only.
