Painful as it may be for the wallet of the consumer, the decision to hike the price of petrol is good for the economy

Do they even think before they publish such BS. They go on to dribble about the enviroment but I wanted to see how this is good for the economy !

Well it’s good for the economy because the government will receive an extra AED 0.20 per Litre of fuel sold in saved subsidies and the Environmental issue is simply spin, lets face it, European Governments have been levying Environmental taxes on their respective populations since the Kyoto Protocol Agreement was first signed in 1997! So it’s not surprising the UAE Government aren’t now playing catch up!
