Good to see the British tradition of throwing fruit at fools (and politicians) is still alive and well. In the past the fools were put in stocks though.

It was so funny to see Nick Griffin lose so badly in the election - so much for popular support for eh's friends then! And this was after he appeared on Question Time (and was humiliated there too).

(And I loved the funny bit in the link above where Griffin says he is being victimised!)

It must be really infuriating for Muslims to come across infidels not used to growing up on a plantation and just don't have the house slave mentality instilled in them.

Anyways, it really speaks volumes that that behavior is condoned with 'atta boy!' remarks from those who have a similar bully complex - I wonder if it is just Napoleon complex from one short, pudgy guy to another ???

It must be infuritating for you that British people can and do exercise their democratic rights in the ballot box and also on the streets.

BNP are classic bullies - talk tough but crumble and cry for mummy when challenged.

Not surprising you feel the need to resort to ad hominem attacks though - you probably missed the fact that the BNP leader came embarrisingly third in the election!

I guess even our tea partiers have more class than your average 'Asian' yewt.

No, no problems with rednecks etc opposing government/politicians in the US!

That said, I totally agree that the Brits aren't like the nutters you have - we give people the opportunity to speak their mind and then tell them what we think -to their faces and also in the ballot box.

The only reason you won't see similar confrontations there is that your guys all carry guns and politicians no longer really debate with real people any more.

As I said, given you weren't aware of the spanking the BNP got in the elections it is understandable that you are a bit confused that the British public don't share the views you share with the BNP.

I feel like I'm suddenly in 1984.

And you're right, Britain is not like the United States.

We don't arrest law abiding citizens because they found a weapon and dutifully handed the weapon in to authorities.

We also have fewer restrictions on free speech and we don't ban an entire group just because they had an insensitive demonstration.

Then again, we also don't shelter Islamists like Britain does and we are not as quick to put them and their four wives on gubmint handouts.

Oh, and we don't allow angry Muslim to throw boots at demonstrations because throwing shoes is part of their 'cultural heritage'.

You're right, we Americans really envy what's happening in Britain. I'm sure any expat of British extract will also verify this for you as well.

I'm glad we agree that the US is different from the UK. We laugh at our equivalent of the Klan and vote them into third place. I put it down to the possession of guns myself.

But credit where credit is due - it may be a while before we have someone named Barack Hussein Obama at the head of our government!

Lars Vilks told The Associated Press a man in the front row ran up to him and head-butted him during the lecture, breaking his glasses but leaving him uninjured. It wasn't immediately clear what happened to the attacker.

Wasn't touched.

Now, do you have a problem with reading comprehension or do you have a problem understanding the definition of what touching is?

Oh dear. eh is behind the times again.

Vilks initially believed he was head-butted by the man, but said he later understood he had collided with plainclothes police officers who intercepted the attacker and then briskly evacuated Vilks from the room.
