1. Beach wear at the beach and normal clothes everywhere else. If you want to show respect to a Muslim society (and to yourself), no super mini skirts, no belly free and no boobs hanging out:))

2. No falling around being drunk in the public.
3. No taking pictures of persons (especially women) without asking.
4. Watch the traffic and be aware that no car will stop unless you cross the street at a traffic light.
5. When going out, don't accept a ride of any guy you don't know
6. Do some bargin when shopping in souqs
7. Accept water or tea offers while shopping
8. Use common sense
9. ENJOY!

I was there for a week in January 2008. We had FIVE INCHES OF RAIN IN ONE DAY....following George Bush's visit the day before . Roundabouts were flooded everywhere ! They had more in a day than they normally get in a year, I believe.
