got a pair of foxterriers back home. well, they are not really a pair, as they hate each other and we cannot leave them alone even for a minute.

Girl I only saw once last year, but had the boy since I was 21. A bit more calm nowadays, but used to be the naughtiest, most impulsive and free willed dog ever. love the little bugger to death

This is my type of 'killer'. Can you imagine this one catching a cat? Me neither, but at least he barks violently.

No RB, you may not let your killer dog climb on my doggies back. He's straight.

Not too long ago I had a puppy. She would come and go - never knew when she would show up. It appears that the puppy has officially left home,

Rudeboy, I TOTALLY agree with you man! Sometimes I really think they're like humans!
Actually based on the information I read, grey africans can be as smart as a 5 years old human kid!

How old are your parrots guys?

For what its worth, your grey parrot must be an intellectual compared with Rudebwoy.
However, RB stopped mingling with 'birds' after he found out he was a battyboy.

He's part of the Bumper Club now. You'll notice them when they line up in a straight row besides SZR. Bumping his front buddy every step of the way.

His buddies are Duke and Dillon. Butt bumper duo.

Enjoy

LOL no he's 12 so he's just at that chilling age. He's very Garfield in character. But he's funny in the morning when he wants food, a little paw comes onto the mattress to try and wake me up, then he'll stand up and purr loudly in my ear. When I ignore him, he paws my face, licks my elbows and just generally walks all over me until I get him his breakfast.

22 is not old for an African Grey, take a look at the link below they typically live from 50 - 70 years;

Either that or your parrot has learned to imitate the alarm clock!

question for gray african owners. if I work from morning till 8 pm lets say, and I rarely ever go to bed before midnight, those hours in between would be enough to interact with the bird?

i really want a pet, but cannot leave a dog or cat locked in the apt all day.

@radiah, african parrots need lots of attention. I have seen some parrots loose their feather because the owner didnt give him enough time. Mind you if you do give them lots of attention they will get attached to you.

If you live alone in UAE I wouldnt suggest for a parrot because it becomes a problem when you go away on holidays. They dont like other ppl and sometimes dont even get attached to them and dont adjust with them etc etc

heres what bobbys parrot looks like
and since his parrot is like this i wonder what bobby looks like ey bobby hows the old bald patch ;) no wonder you come on the forum looking for some attention bobby ;)
