I was expecting event horizon to at last come out and show his true colours.

When asked in the thread 'Biblical War Crimes' whether he condemns (like I do) or condones the Biblical account of Israelites slaughtering children, men and non-virgin women and the enslavement of 32,000 virgins - he refuses to condemn the Israelites.

What is clearly hypocritical is that he maintains that when Muslims carry out lesser crimes - eg executing men convicted of treason - these are 'massacres' and are to be condemned.

However, when asked to condemn massacres carried out by Jewish people - whether in the 1990s or at the time of Moses - he refuses point-blank to condemn massacres carried out in the name of religion. There is a whole thread on the religious terrorist Baruch Goldstein who was a white American emigrant to Palestine (Hebron), an educated man - a doctor no less - and who was revered by his supporters as a religous and pious man. He calmly massacred unarmed Palestinians who were praying at a holy site, and yet event horizon refuses to condemn him as a religious terrorist.

Therefore, the hypocrisy (and even racism?) that has been uncovered is there for all to see.

Disapointed, but not surprised.

And yet it would be so easy for eh to just come out and do the decent thing - condemn the slaughters of innocents by Israelites and latter day religious jews - but yet he refuses.

Perhaps now his conscious will be pricked and he will come out and join me in condemning these war crimes and acts of terror?

If you condone/excuse the butchering of civilians and enslavement of virgins on the grounds that 'God ordered them to do it' - doesn't that make you a religious extremist/fanatic?

How are you different from those who blow themselves up or shoot up mosques or synagogues - all in the name of religion?

No - most people view acts of God as just that, acts of 'nature'.

Justifying the butchering of civilians by Israelites does make you a religious fanatic though. If the cap fits..

Hold on - are you saying that the cities the Koran says Allah destroyed were destroyed through volcanoes or earthquakes - even though the Koran is clear that God sent angels to destroy some of these?

I'm saying that your refusal to condemn the cold blooded massacre of civilians and enslavement of virgins makes you a religious fanatic and a hypocrite.

Are you really arguing that the Israelite massacre is equivalent to a hurricane or volcano?

The Koran doesn't say that a hurricane happened to wipe out a city. The Koran says that Allah intentionally destroyed these cities and in some cases, he used his 'minions' (angels, I presume) to carry out the massacre.

But hey, if the US had an earthquake machine and used it to destroy cities, would you blame the tectonic plates or would you blame the US for starting the earthquake?

Well, I totally condemn statutory rape, Allah's destruction of cities (where angels were sometimes sent down to slaughter the inhabitants) and Muhammad's massacres and jihad raids.

Do you join me in condemning any of the above?

Hey, I'm not the one who is hypocritical here. Then again, I'm not the one setting up strawmen - such as saying that 'acts of God' should be condemned when I was clear that the slaughter God inflicted was not some natural phenomenon, but deliberate acts to kill disbelievers - often using intermediaries to carry out the gruesome slaying of civilians.

How are you any different from all the other religious nutters that say it is ok to kill children as long as God tells them it is ok?

You go even further and don't condone the enslavement and probable rape of 32,000 virgins.

Religious fanatics think there is nothing wrong with this view and call others hypocrites when they don't agree that there is nothing wrong with Israelites massacring people in cold blood.

I just realised - you don't actually deny that you are a hypocrite in this thread on the specific issue of condemning massacres:

allah inflicts a lot of suffering in the Koran. Do you disagree?
