Admin has today confirmed that the forum is currently closed to new members.

I will be moderating FC so if any posts are moved there in dispute please pm me and i will see what can be done.

Any members banned will now not be able to re-register another username. This applies to everyone except XPT who can use his 3 other registered users being Concord, Ballbraker and Ballbreaker2.

Do you mean that users will be banned via IP addresses?

What happens if XPT moves into the $1 rent villa and the ip address changes?

Seems strange that they would ban new members. Most forums like to grow. It would take more moderators though, so maybe that's why the ban.

It's not a question of banning "New Members", the issue is anti-spam software which needs to be installed, should be resolved within another week.

I thought my announcement was fairly clear in that as no new users are able to register on DF, then by default if anyone received a ban, they would not be able to "re-register" a new user name.

I never implied "Seems strange that they would ban new members" as i clearly stated there would be "no new members". The same goes for IP address's, it also has nothing to do with not being able to register a new username.

Technically incompetent people should not run forums then. (that's why I don't)
Captcha can be installed in an hour which is a google compliant apps.

canuckbid, first of all I edited your signature to see if you are a spammer.
And it seems that you are... You should have thought that if someone left only one link in your signature, may be that someone has the power to ban you... adding another link and an image advert was quite naive of you.
Second, the captcha is installed and present but it doesn't stop stupid human spammers like you.
Third, you are banned.
