Pulmonologist or ear, nose, and throat doctor?
I am wondering if I need to see a pulmonologist or an ear, nose, and throat doctor. My regular Medical Doctor had me do a sinus infection test and an asthma test, both came back negative. I have a cough with phlegm constantly in my throat and have trouble eating. After the asthma test I experience chest tightness and went to an urgent care area that said I must be sensitive like asthma patients yet the test read negative....so my medical doctor said if i am still having problems to do see a pulmonologist...however I do not see why I need to go see that type of specialist since there is nothing wrong with my lungs....shouldn't an ear, nose, and throat doctor be more appropriate?
