The country’s largest service provider will launch it own mobile phone targeting mass. I wonder why Etisalat is launching its own brand now..

Because they would love to control the mobile market in UAE any way they can. I wouldn't buy their phones or anything they offer as long I don't have to. Rather, find me an open well and I'll go throw my money in there.

most probably OEM from China. don't be surprised if one can find it at dragon mart without brand.

Etisalat started with its own brand phones.( Little etisalat logos on regula Panasonics, Nokias, erricson etc etc ) and gave them its own names like Hud Hud, Asrad and stuff. But after the BB fiasco I would buy anything from them, probally loaded to the teeth with spyware
