Hey guys, If i have to leave for over 6 months, can i have my employer renew my visa for me ? Or do i have to come back b4 the end of the 6 months in order to renew it and then leave again.

There is nothing to renew if you are talking about a residence visa.
the visa states: :Residence Permit becomes invalid if bearer resides out of the U.A.E. for more than six months". So, Khalas. You'll have to re apply for new visa.

yes its a residence visa. I worked there b4 and had to leave 2 months ago.

And so what has happened to you? with "your bank problem" and your ability to leave the country?

I had no problem leaving the country - was very glad to ! I was trying to get you to tell your friend NOT to believe the BS stories about going back into Dubai with a view to negotiate with the banks, if he must, do it from overseas via a lawyer, get something called "Tanazl" signed sealed and notarised in the court that the bank has reached a settlement with him [& even then I would not be 100% confident of getting through immigration without a problem!]

It expires. Then you need to cancel it and get a new one.

If you come back within 6 months (even if just for a day) it remains valid.
