I have put three recent postings on the DF Business forum regarding www.visit-dubai.co.uk ; marketing Dubai globally etc , but there seems to very little interaction on there. It's a very quiet part of DF.

Is this symptomatic of Dubai ? Is there more interest in "messing about" than there is in MARKETING and ENTERPRISE?

Those that are in safe jobs may be able to mess about, but unless Dubai MARKETS itself globally in a much wider fashion , uncontrolled by Government, it will not flourish.

Americans, especially, know that MARKETING is the key to business.

Hardly anybody comes to these forums to make money, for christ's sake grow up....what is it with your incessant harping on about money?

No one visits the other subforums are they are just filled to the brim with spammers and scammers and no one bothers to clean them up either. For Sale, wanted, buissness etc etc.

I have postings on the business forum and I find it is very quiet on there. So I am raising a legitimate point. You are NOT FORCED to come onto this thread. Dubai Forums is meant to be GLOBAL , not a private chat room for half a dozen of you , who feel a need to poke onto every thread.

I agree that spamming gets tiresome but I also think business is global. Otherwise all the countries would build walls around their borders and trade with-in them. If an energy source is discovered that makes oil obsolete, Dubai had better be marketing their warm climate and tourist attractions.
Usually when someone invents a engine that can go father on a tank of gas they get bought out fast or disappear........With the "green" movement gathering support it's getting harder for the oil companies to silence them. Alot of oil companies are now investing in new technology. They can see the "writing on the wall".

One of those is a real money-spinner . Not allowed to say which, I'm afraid.
But , it is true !! Google Ads alone can earn you about £7 [pounds] a day. That is over £2500 per year...not to be sneezed at !!
