Hi, I am in Dubai for a while, been quite shocked by the numbers of ladies of the night I have seen in bars. Are their any good places where there are actually genuine, single girls that you can recommend?

You can't really meet people in malls, (unless you're locals wandering round seeing who's hitting you up via bluetooth - lol), you need social situations.

Longs bar and Jebel Ali club were always a happy hunting ground apparantly

Longs has its fair share of dubious girls these days too! Oh wait no sorry that's me and my gf's propping up the bar!

Hey. Yes there are, but you're always going to get 'ladies of the night' in vitually every bar of club you go to in Dubai.

The key is to head out on the 'ladies' nights, which is generally a Tuesday.

Emirates Towers - Agency and Scarletts (quite a few Dubaious professional ladies in the latter, but tend to be African - sorry but true - so pretty easy to weed them out).

Hive - Souk Al Bahar - lovely bar, no dubious girls to date.

Rock Bottom - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday nights as free drinkies are available on all these nights for girlies, mostly frequented by cabin crew.

Thye Westin.

Places on other nights or any night:

Left Bank in either Old Town or the Madinat.

Any of the Trader Vics.

Irish Village

Club wise, Chi - esp on Cheese nights, great laugh.

Zinc if you can hack it! Crew love it, but also has it's fair share of LOTN.

Phew, I think I've just done your homework for you! Please note, on ladies nights the single girls will be hanging out in groups with maybe a token bloke or two.

On the flipside could you please tell us where all the decent single guys are hiding? There seem to be none left in this town.

and all of them are looking at "wrong" places (bars/clubs).

decent guys? try electronic shops, sport clubs, bookshops, etc.

True, but you have to hjave decent social situations to start with and many people don't when they first arrive.

and bars/clubs are not the only places you can go the first time.
perhaps joining a gym/sport club, going to religious services (church/mosque), etc.

btw, it seems there's not many of groups in dubai sharing the same interests other than the same nationality!

Do people actually go out alone in Dubai?
I do every so often but never with the hope of meeting somebody

You could have people suggest a meeting spot for on the weekends. Get together to share your computing experiences etc. You could call it the "Dubai Geek Squad" Something like POF (plenty of fish) It's the biggest free dating site in the world.

Totally agree with you Busa. All the good ones ARE already taken or have left and it's just the dregs that are left. The best place to meet people is through friends, dinner parties, gatherings, birthdays, etc etc etc.

for gazillion times, the genuine good ones don't go to or hang out in bars (frequently). period.

ironically some women knew they had the good ones but think it's not enough and threw them away instead.

I like to go all bars each night hehe.

We know that mate! But for people new to the place, who haven't had the chance to make friends yet, what do you do?
