I am totally in agreement that their is a huge downturn in the market, however I still like to look on the positive side if possible.

A good discussion however, never brought down an economy before. Dubai will survive.

Soooo. Is that to say that most of what you report or provide as information to be taken seriously comes from a "gut feeling"? If that is the case then I can understand why you can be so wrong so many times, aside from the fact THAT YOU DON'T LIVE IN DUBAI!!!

caution here is the word:
the markets today are the same as yesterday in terms of importance:
innovation is the main drive and reason why they are still located where they are now.
Being a hub today is not so easy as it used to be :
Air traffic today can be handled almost exclusively non stop between any cities of the world due to new generation of airplanes.
Trading hubs will be there where the business is, hence direct access to consumers, transshipping or warehousing to be avoided if possible.
Having said that, there will be several hubs in the world; Dubai will be one of them, but not one of the top 3. The competitive race for new businesses is in full swing, the cost of going business went down considerably in places like N.Y. and London and others .
