Hi guys, I keep getting unstable pings on BF2. I have a Siemens Gigaset wireless modem with 2MB/s internet with Etisalat. This has been happening for the past week now. I've scanned my PC for viruses and found nothing. Anyone else having this problem ?

what model is it? your Gigaset Wireless modem I mean.. is it the SE567? Is the router anywhere close to a television set or microwave? just curious..

Hi user007gamer, the problem could be caused by many things.
Do you know how to do a traceroute to the IP address of your game server?

You should do a traceroute to your gateway IP address first to see how much lag you are getting, or constantly ping your gateway/wireless router.

If your connection to your wireless router is slow, that would be your problem.

If not it could be Etisalat causing the problem, but you'll know after a traceroute. If it is Etisalat try using another game server and see if you can get a better connection.

I'm battling to find a low latency server me and my mates in SA can play on together. Is there anyone that has solved this problem already or knows of a server that would suite us ?? ty
