What Would You Do?

You move here to Dxb with your family.

After a while your relationship starts to disintegrate, You move out. After a while your ex moves a new person in, without your knowledge, with your kids.

This "unknown" person doesn't have the good manners or the bottle to approach you to put your mind at rest. You know, "Look mate, your kids will be ok with me etc". Just moves in.

After a while you find out that your ex and new guy have skipped town. Leaving your kids strewn across the city......WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE!

This sort of stuff carries on for a couple of more years.

What would you do?

Sorry but would rather not go into that on here. Just the essential facts. I want to see how people would handle this.

I would only take care of the kids, raise them well, and forget about the ex because she's far away from being a human. If she comes back to trouble me, the courts are there to handle the case.

Yeah. I was doing the "English thing". Moving out because I was working (she was a "lady of leisure"). Se started to work only later.

Courts were never an option for the obvious reasons. I'm not a grass.

I'm sorry, but if you are the father, where were you all that time? Couldn't your kids contact you? And what continued for a couple of more years? Where are the kids now?

Your post is vague which raises alot of questions.

A grass is a snitch. Somebody that reports something to the law.

English people, in my experience, seem to be a little bit softer, compassionate, when it comes to matter of the heart. Just my observation.

Now what would YOU do? Are you saying you want to be the children, or not? Are they (ex & new partner) married? It's not clear. Forget about ex and her new partner. If you don't "bother" taking back the children, then why bother? If you care, then fight till the end for your children. Gather all the proofs, because that's the only thing that matters at court.

I'd be a little peed off, confront the problem and collect the kids. What sort of question is this? Surely you got to know where your kids are at all times, part and parcel of being a parent 8)

It was probably the wrong question to ask on here because the situation was/is a lot more complex than it seems on paper.

Unfortunately in this part of the world the only route open to you is through the authorities, if your ex just up and leaves the kids alone then she is obviously not a caring person. You will also need plenty of witnesses to testify on your behalf.
