My 1 month visit visa is expiring on July 24 and I was thinking of going to Hatta or Khasab to renew it. Will the price of everything including car insurance and Oman related stuff be less than the 500 dhs it costs to renew it in Dubai?

Yes, if you're from the free arrival visa countries. Should cost between 0 and 100 dhs.
