Hello All,

I hope i'm doing this right, i'm looking to move over to dubai to work as a recruitment consultant and make friends, i have had an interview with a UK based firm.

born and raised in the Uk I moved from blackburn to london about 7 yeaqrs ago and now looking for the next move.

The company have told me i need to do more research on the market bout there, life out there etc

one thing that was mentioned is the fact i'm of indian heritage, and eventhough i've never had a problem over in the UK, supposedley this is a stumbling block overthere is it???

i've always mixed in with all kinds of people and never had a problem with making new friends but i've been told that people of asian origin are looked down upon.

is this true!!! i cant see myself not enjoying out there

need to know wheres good to live? reasonable rent?? wheres good to go, what are the big construction projects out there?

Now to try and be helpful...my opinion ..

1. Discrimination to Subcontinent is rampant, although its getting better and is less obvious as you move up the corporate ladder.

2. Subcontinent origin, but western passport + accent you are in a better position than plain subcontinent.
