Like the English ourselves, a mongrel race brewed from many invasions right up to the last one in 1066 AD...and now mixed further by an insane rate of immigration.

IT WON, ignorant moron. Read my argument with Speedy to fill the gaps in your education if you cannot buy any serious book about the War in Europe in this tough (for you) time. The lousy Reich had no any single chance against Russia with its resourses.

After World War II the Soviet Army had the largest land army in history. It had more tanks or artillery than all other countries taken together, more soldiers, and large numbers of greatly experienced commanders and staffs. The British Chiefs of Staff Committee rejected as militarily unfeasible a British contingency plan, Operation Unthinkable, to destroy Stalin's government and drive the Red Army out of Europe.

 An ignorant moron...me? You are out of your league one-eyed fellow.

Listen, Russia could never win the war if they fought alone against the German Reich. I mean, if the US and Canadians (North Americans) and the English didn't attack it from the South and Western front, the Germans would have just marched towards Russia with full force and eventually Russia would probably be taken down.

Instead the situation was that the North Americans and the English were on the Western fronts and they asked (begged whatever) the Russians to join forces in the Eastern front to end the German hegemony.
Either way, Western Europe would never be Russian speaking, since you (intentionally phrased) were the last in row to help us, and the Americans and Canadians were helping in Holland, bombing these Germans.

So....ignorant. No Russian language here and No communism. Fortunately.
I already thanked you for the help, right? :D

Rob continues showing his ignorance. We 4 years (1941- middle 1944) fought against Germans alone with out any Wester front. In the end of 1943 we cleared out our territory from facsists and transfer war activity to German's territory in 1944 with permanent offences. We totally devastated Germany at that time. By the end of 1943 Hitler didn't even thought about offences. It reflected in manufatured weapon at that tine. He ordered to manufacture tank destroers (defencive weaponrt) instead of tanks (offencive one).

US and smart-arse Brits launched the war only when situation was absolutely clear as they used to do in modern history. Even after D-day although "allies" attracted less than 20% of German forces the last ones kicked American arses very much near Ardennes. So they have no advancment up to February 1945 at all and only offencive of Red Army on the Eastern front saved those "warriors".

So "allies" launched the war to prevent advancement of Red Army to the Western Europe. It was exactly what I wanted to say in my first post.

Sage,

When I say "more troops", I mean PER CAPITA , of course.

But , anyway, the Britain and England are not the same thing, because "England" is only half the land area of the UK.

[Similarly, "Holland" is only 2 provinces of "Netherlands"....the correct name for that country.]

Welsh is the German word for the British, because the English did not arrive in Britain from North Germany until AFTER the Romans left.

The English....Germanic invaders...called the British WEALAS [ hence Wales] ...meaning "Romanised foreigners", hence Walton [ Weal Tun....town of the Welsh] ; Wallasey ...Wealas Ey...Island of the Welsh and Corn Wall...Welsh of the corn or peninsula.

The Welsh...or Brythonic speaking Britons , lived in England and Southern Scotland for over a 1000 years before the English arrived . The proof is in the Welsh place-names of England and Scotland, eg Dover , Malvern, Avon, Morecambe, Perth, Glasgow, Lanark etc.

The fact the English people were originally from North Germany, was a major reason why Hitler turned to attack the Soviet Union after Dunkirk. He regarded the English as cousins, whilst in the east, there were Slavs, whome he regarded in his racist way , as inferior.

If he had invaded Britain in 1940, the Americans would not have had this country as an "aircraft carrier" later. Hitler turned east, and the size of Russia, its winter and large dogged army was a huge reason for his failure. But the east had the land and the oil that he wanted to expand his empire. Plus it had communism which he wanted to stamp out.

Hitler took on too much in the end. If he had come here in 1940 , he would have WALKED into neutral Ireland as well.
The British Navy and RAF helped save Britain, but if he had used all his resources in 1940 to come west , he may well have managed it.

I don't know anyone that still uses the term Holland when talking about the Netherlands, maybe some people in the UK do?

By the way, the old BENELUX trading bloc was comprised of Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg. These three countries comprise the 'Low Countries' (or 'Les Pays Bas').

Certainly by around 500 AD the British Celts (Wealh) in general had lost all of the civilisation that the Romans had brought to Britain (outside of the continued existence of Celtic British Latin speakers and writers inside some monasteries), and had reverted to living in wooden enclosures outside of the Roman ruins which they had no knowledge how to repair or use, and which they came to believe as inhabited by bad spirits and avoided. Nevertheless they liked to consider themselves more civilised that the English invaders (and they were, to a degree), and noble descendants of the Romans (which is a bit of a laugh).
