It's hard enough to import vehicles to the middle east, and the last thing anyone needs is a salvage-titled vehicle that has been rebuilt in some dusty garage in Sharjah

Well actually if know a proper workshop which does not rip you off. You can score some deals and save a lot of money by importing these so called write off's.

But you will have to search. There are many with very little damage like a dented fender and broken headlight and are written off. Specially older luxury or non american brands witj low resale ther. Even a little damage and the repair cost come close to the value of the car due to expensive parts and labout there.

Better finding one and repairing it your self rather than buy something which you have no idea what did what to it ?
