BNP leader Nick Griffin becomes MEP Jun 08, 2009
The far-Right British National Party has won seats in a national election as Labour crashed to poll humiliation.

BNP victory came in the North West region, where leader Nick Griffin was elected an MEP.

In his victory speech, Mr Griffin claimed there was 'a deep, dark stain' on the way the country's democratic system is run.
'It also is not just a matter of mass immigration, although that is an obvious symptom of it, it is handing us over to be ruled by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels, it's turning the common wealth of this country, our public services, into private properties for giant corporations, in banning St George's Day festivals while encouraging everyone else to celebrate their festivals, usually with taxpayers' money. In so many ways the liberal elite have transformed this country.'

It really is a sad state of affairs when people feel they have no choice other than to vote for these kind of parties.

I'd be very bloody afraid!

Far right politicians all across Europe are gaining ground in the current economic crisis. History teaches people nothing (you don't believe in history Chocs, I know....)!!!!!

I love that nice Mr. Moseley, and Dear Mr Hilter (sic) too....

Of course I do! I'm just worried about the future prospects of these kind of people gaining ground. But when the other parties in power have screwed up so royally, what are people supposed to do.

That's when the far right (and left) get their chance. But as Europe is mostly Socialist now, the gains have been made this time by the right, as people express their dissatisfaction with the status quo.

First off Crusader! I'm not blonde.

Secondly, anyone who thinks the BNP and their ideas are going to be anything other than radical, racist, homophobic and basically have ridiculous views on anything is off their rocker - that would include YOU then.

So why don't you toddle off. Because anyone who would support such an extreme party needs their head read!
