I use -

Facebook just to write smartarse status updates and share photos.
Twitter to share links with friends and get info from sites.
LinkedIn to keep in contact with colleagues and possibly get a job.

If you use Twitter though, make sure you download a client app instead of just using the website. I use TweetDeck and it's good for grouping the people you follow. Friends, News Sites, Celebrities etc. Makes it easier to not miss things.

Tried and gave up on Myspace years and years ago. It's just too ugly a site. Makes my head hurt.
