I was just wondering, why aint any1 get techie with computers any more?
No one seems to be interested in building computers from scrap for any more.. or blasting monitors.. or building high end servers from normal systems.. or something unusual ??

Man, i'm checking on which pc to get and, as you say, due to lack of participation in the forum in this field i decided to seek help somewhere else, but i'll post for help to see if anyone is interested

problem is Dubai PC parts market is about 6 months behind the West and some stuff you can't even get a hold of no matter what!

also blame DELL for their mass production/price undercuts which make building your own more expensive than buying one of theirs

so true..

besides that .. no one is simply interested in development of the internet.
like .. i have some projects on mind, but cant any1 interested into it !

I have but am busy with some otehr stuff.

am planning to quit ma present job, planning to take a job as a content writer .. or network engineer / IT Customer support personell..

any body can help me out there

i have been building PCs for the last 8 years. All custom. Problem here is that you can;t get the brands of hardware you need. try ram for example. You get the shitty Twinmos with high latencies, 2nd generation clones, etc...

so how can you build a viable custom pc? I charge anywhere from 5000-20000 for a custom and that is with original parts shipped. You pay for quality but count that the PCs are upgradable, last and will be work horses for years.

Other thing is....has anyone been to computer plaza? same thing after same thing.....same price.....same BS. How do you find yourself in there?

Lastly, support? How can you trust them?

I know of a company that DOES do custom builds in Dubai. They've just opened in Internet City and they offer all the latest technologies at quite reasonable prices.

its over man, unless if you cant pay for getting food. that time it will be worthy to think hard to get some new technologies for the world.
