Am currently working on a project related to the pets industry in the UAE (with a focus on cats & dogs), but I can’t find any solid statistics of their number in the country. Your assistance is kindly requested for any available statistics relating to cats & dogs recent population in Dubai and/or the UAE in general.

I don't think there is any reliable way to get those stats, sorry.

Try the Ministry for agriculture and fisheries, they deal with that sort of thing.
