I am particularly fond of horror movies with a good twist ending, any horror films as long as they have a reasonable plot and unique ending.

What horror movies do you recommend?

Scary Movie

On a serious note, here are some that I can think of. They are not all blood-splattering and gore horror movies but rather a great mix of that "horror" element combined with a lotta suspense:
The Descent (probably the best ending of all time)
Carnival of Souls
The Mist (I thought it had a great ending)
Night of the Living Dead
Saw (game over baby!)
The Ring (a classic of this genre)

The Ring was the scriest movie I ever saw.

Frankly speaking,i don't like American horror movie,

Curse serial is No. 1 scary in my horror movie list to date.

Silence of the Lambs --- Great classic

Haute Tension - One HELL of a twist. I watced this movie twice back to back, just to see how it all came together after seeing the ending the first time.

The Exorcist....freaky!!

I will prefer!.. the GRAGE!!.......... god that's a horror Movie I have ever seen!!...........

puppet master - japanese movie

I personally dont like those cheap hollywood horror movies that aren't even scary. The best horror movies were made in '60s and the best are:

- The Omen
- Rosemary's Baby
- The Exorcist

J-horror is best for me. The proof is that most of the following have been remade in the West afterwards under English titles. To me the originals were all better.

Scary:
Ringu (The Ring)
Ju-On (The Grudge)
One Missed Call
Kairo (Pulse)

Violent:
Odition (Audition) really horrific.
Ichi The Killer is just vicious and gory.

Battle Royale is good, but Battle Royale II not so hot.

Suspiria is a superb film. Italian horror films directed by total madmen like Argento and Fulci are second only to J-horror for me!

Underworld!... Is that a Hororr Movie!.. well i don't think so!...BUT...for You guy's Don't forget to watch the New part!.........

There are 3 Underworld films. Yes, more action than horror I think..

Yeah we Just got the New One!.. Dont know maybe it came earller..BUT.. i have watched last weekend!.......

There's a new Sam Raimi horror film, Drag Me To Hell.

It's supposed to be UNBELIEVABLE!
