I'm keen to learn Arabic here since I've made the commitment to live here for a while. The Explorer guide gives some contacts but I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who's done a course they can recommend.

First let me APPLAUD you .

Get as many expats to learn Arabic as well.

Now the bad news: I have no idea where to go, my fiance is the one in-charge of teaching me Arabic (And me of teaching him Dutch).

I have to warn you though : Arabic is not an easy language to learn, but its very worthwhile. Make sure you get an Arab teacher.

I learned from this site It is just the basics but it will give u a good view and start of the language.
