Hi - I was really irritated when trying to apply for a job via an online job site, I do all the copy and paste CV into a job spec then click 'send' only to be greeted with a message that I have to pay to apply for a job....
Odd.
Is this how things are done in UAE when applying for a job online?

No, they're ripping you off. NEVER pay someone to help you get a job, they should be paid by the employer.

My thoughts exactly - what I found more irratating is that this was never mentioned until they have got you to fill out all the necessary info...
The site sounds like it is well know - dubai jobs is the domain name - rip off.
Best approach to finding a job is basically contacting the compan(ies) that you would like to work for I reckon.
