So I got my Emirates ID today....the earth did not move for me.

nO queue....had taken an appointment online....arrived at the centre at 8:15, half an hour earlier than the appointed time and yes it was all over in an hours time. They even sms a reminder a day before and the card is couriered at home....(still it does not shake my world)

You were lucky you did not run into %^$@#T%# complications, which happen at random.

got a confirmation via SMS for my appointment. they set it on December 2009.
