Am I right in remembering that the horse racing world cup wasn't dry when this fell on the same day as the public holiday, a couple of years ago?

I was listening to Dubai Eye radio last night and they had the organiser of the Rugby 7s on and he said that the holiday would not affect the provision of food and beverages. Sweet.
