Does anybody know of a cheap way to get to Abu Dhabi on thursday?My GF doesn't have a car and a taxi would probably be super expensive.

You can take the bus that departs to AD from Al-Ghubaiba Bus Station in Bur Dubai, near the Creek. The fare is Dh15 or 20. I think it departs every 45 minutes.

Or better yet, rent a cheap car.

A Bus from Al Ghubaiba costs around AED 25. A shared cab (The same Dubai taxi that you use) costs AED 50 and will drive you anywhere in AD.
