i can book 3 nights at the Burj Al Arab including flights for around 6500Dhs

It's all relative though - sounds good if you want a cheap holiday in the Burj .

I bet if I rang them from here, the rate would be at least double that! When you get there, they would try and charge you $100 for a glass of water!

Then again, we who live here might not want to stay in an over decorated gin palace...

The point of my post was merely to illustrate how desperate the hotels are.

Anyway i wouldn't pay $100 for a glass of water as i would be taken over to the Jumeira Beach hotel in the Rolls ,where i could purchase a glass of water for $75 because the JBH are offering 25% off all food and drink until the end of Feb.
