I'll likely be moving to Dubai this spring, and am wondering how much of my musical equipment to take with me.

Specifically, I'll need a few preamps, since I can't imagine taking a rack's worth with me on the plane. I'll also need a decent MIDI keyboard, possibly a mic or two, and I'll never, ever have enough guitars. Any suggestions as to where I might go for those sorts of things? For folks who are familiar with prices in the States, is there a big discrepancy between audio-gear prices in the U.S. and those in the U.A.E.? Enough to warrant lugging along as much of my current setup as possible? Thanks in advance.
