But that's when it becomes a Lady + a Man

thats puppy love.... once that phase is over, its time to get on the rollercoaster

The story should be a little more realistic. Something like:

Girl and guy meet. He is dressed top to toe in 'Armani' with very, very pointy shoes. His hair is long and greased back. He tries all his best chat up lines. She ignores him until he puts his Ferrari car key on the table and buys a magnum of champagne. She has dollar signs in her eyes. Then she likes him.

They leave together. She finds he actually drives a 1978 Nissan Sunny and is a shoe salesman in Massimo Dutti.
She gets in a cab and goes home.
He goes back to the bar and tries again.

That is the Dubai love story.

Dubai is making a commodity out of every one. Well said Knight.

Or maybe the gender ratio is the problem. Women are over rated (excuse me ladies) and that's what makes "love" or any kind of committed long term relations a difficulty

Also guys hitting on gals too much, giving them a hard time though...

a love story u can really watch near petrol pump in al barsha behind lulu centre, men comes in car women come in taxi they met their inside car and after hours of passing time in a closed and black colour window car for hour and half then they go away,

well, Does anybody know what are the most important 5 "F" for a male .

Bit unfair to women! I NEVER get those dollar signs and I certainly don't want them. The love story is difficult but lets be fair, I don't know many guys in Dubai that aren't only after one thing. Don't try and contradict this but I have lots of male friends and they would freely admit this. So, then nice girls finish last, nice girls like me...not looking for dollar signs.

Yeah i appreciate your feeling this is very positive approach. There can be two approaches positive & negative i think if you think positive then everything will go positive & vice verse .

dubai is a transitional place for most people i guess and love/lust or whatever you call it in dubai may just be a transitional relationship too. but whose to say that there cannot be an exception to the rule???

true! some women has dollar signs in their eyes but... not all, if there are sugar daddies then there are sugar mommies too... mind you, this doesn't mean the girl is older

I actually witnessed the incident in Boudoir! The guy ordered a magnum of champagne (which is carried to his table on a litter with sparklers!) to impress this girl. It cost 4000Dhs! He had a Ferrari keyring and she was looking like the sun rose and set in his fake Calvin Klein boxers.

I bought a pair of shoes from the loser next day in Massimo Dutti!

He looked like a man rejected!

alpha - never been, heard it's stupidly expensive.

400 - again too expensive, poser lebo hang out

zinc - full of hookers these days, smokey, hate the atmos

chi - love it! Absolutely my number 1 choice, as you have choices.

barasti - love it, although they're going to get tough on door policies very very soon.

Favourites are Vintage (Luurve the fondue!)

Barasti (of course!) but that is getting full of d1ckheads and dopey dollies

Blue Bar (mostly because I have friends playing there)

Aussie Legends (for a noisy night or to watch the 6 Nations)

360...(if I have had a good month and can afford their prices!)

Left bank at the Madinat. (Chilled out and the food is actually quite good)

Trader Vics (for when I am on a mission to just get completely and utterly bladdered and end the night sleeping in a dumpster or the gutter having peed myself like a Glasgow wino!)
