I've always found coffee in shops never as nice as the stuff I make at home - although they manage to be able to charge more for one cup than a whole pack costs in the supermarket!

It's a strange world where they can convince people things are worth so much, when they're worth so little --- that's how the credit crunch started, next they'll be bailing out Starbucks

Havent seen one here yet but Pret make the best Americano coffee's. Its not even their speciality.

what is winter like there?

I moved to North Cyprus with 2 suitcases and very little 'winter' wear - ok so it didn't snow and no ice but as most houses are not built for cold temps I nearly lost some toes in Feb...... ok slight exageration

What do I need to make sure I bring with me???????

SBC is my all time favorite. Although the quality here is not quite the same as the US
