I had quick look out of the back window, and I am glad to say my back yard is free of slavery right now.
I must remember to go out and chain my flower pots together...maybe they will start to sing?

It’s just to point out how overt is the slavery in this part of the world.. in Europe, workers in the service industry are predominantly foreigners and it is not so much felt that they’re being exploited; European man does it in a more discreet way..
In here the owner of the restaurant I buy my take away has few, next door neighbor has three of them, the gardener, cleaner, child minder, the company I work for has over 2 thousand of them who are badly paid and treated…

Slavery has 2 sides. Yes, the culture here is expolitative and always has been, but the immigrant workers pay money to agencies and fight for the chance to come and work here as the situation here is still better than their own country.
Its kind of voluntary slavery.
Expats come here for 2 reasons:
1. Because they want to

The camel jockey issue was addressed due to public pressure from outside the UAE. The Emirates were possibly the smallest offenders compared to Saudi and Kuwait, however here they have all been replaced with robots now.
Maybe there will be a movement to free the robots in 20 years time?

the world is a very unbalanced place and very unfair but we are all here what do we do about it ??
These people are making more money then thay could at home feeding they families back home in some cases
BUT we make much more... I say tip as often as you can
it's sad and Don;t like it but what can you do ?
I had my son here ask the very same thing last night ???
and I couldn't really think of too much to say except
think how lucky you are
and be the best you can be, and help as many along the way as you can.
what can you say ?

there're countless institutions, economic development policies that focusing on the theme of global social justice to level the global poverty, but it all seems in vain...
we hear number of scholars, policymakers themselves even claiming that the global economy is unfair and unjust. what is most surprising is people travel to help with other countries' economies facing the immigration; having free migration would help the poor of the world a great deal..
