Has anyone seen him out and about Dubai?

I saw him driving past Al Qasr, Al Sufouh Road, and I understand it is not unusual to see him in town.

Well he drives himself about in a white Merc 4X4 wearing the number plate "1" so he can't be the hard to miss, if you do see him.

I walked past him a few weeks ago getting out of his G Wagon going into the Noor Bank in JBR at the Walk

He regularly has lunch at the Noodle House in Mina A'Salam. Drives himself there in the aforementioned Merc G-Wagon (untinted windows and no visible security) Then pops off to have a look around the developments in the area.

Nice to know he is keeping an eye on things...

what about traffic?

he mainly drives around later in the evening, fortunately he doesn't have to do the morning and early evening daily commute

It's amazing that he just cruises around by himself with no protection. Pretty cool actually. I don't know much about his personality but I would have imagined him being in a limo surrounded by a huge entourage or something.

Wonder if he would mind if you just walked up and said hi, or asked for a photo with him.

You could, but he tends to have a shield of close protection (seen and unseen) to stop the nutters and picture hunters. If he didn't its likely his sandals would be all wet and slippery from the slobbering of the certain people...

Funny you mentioned that little incedent arnie.

My friend got thrown in jail a couple weeks ago for putting his arm around his girlfriend at McDonalds in jumierah late one night on the way home from a bar. Some local punk had a problem with it and called the cops. He spent 2 nights in an overcrowded cell sleeping next to the guy who killed his girlfriend and wont tell where the body is burried (only because he was the cleanest guy there), along with 4 other guys on a twin size matress. The conditions are deplorable from what he says. 250 people in a room meant for 50, all of whome smoked, fed out of a slop bucket in the middle of the room 3 times a day, two bottles of water that everyone drinks from, a shower and shitter combined in one ing overused stall, 6 people to a bed, the list goes on. I cant imagine spending serious time in there.

It really is true, we have no rights in this country. you really have to watch out.

I've seen him several times driving his White Merc., also seen him walking through Emirates Towers Mall couple of times.

Careful D.K... You neglected to state his first title "Vice President"-- in addition to being "Prime Minister" and "Ruler of Dubai".

Full titles are very important in the Gulf!
