I live now more than 8 yaers in UAE.

But today I saw that if you need really a good friend to talk there is no one.

All are busy with their own problems.

or is it only me?

Might be only you.

If you have been here that long, you should have a few friends here. Yes, everyone has problems, but if they are real friends, they should find time to help out. Unless you are asking for money, as there is not enough of that around anymore. Its all been given back to the Men in White.

Think about it from their side too...maybe they were really busy but will respond later when they can.

this is something i have also noticed in dubai. its more of a materialistic place. there are good friends but its hard to find them.

DXB is such a transient place, you make friends then they go, you make more friends then you go and as often happens people loose touch and move on.

BOO - we are here now, we have been hiding

im back home for good now. i think...


was working -- had a bit of trouble there, am going back to uni again (but here this time), starts after ramadan not too worried about it. just the bloody traffic; its gotten a lot worse here.

in the 8 years i've been here, luckily i found real friends in dubai...sadly some of them already left the country. but life goes on right?

you just have to be open to get close (yeah there's truth in the irony) hehehe.

I agree that finding True Friendship is very difficult in Dubai, and that is simply because Dubai is one big factory ..... its all about making money, and making it fast and the Infra structure has been created to taking it all back from you again... so you end up spending it again..


It is Mostly a shallow place that you can stomach only in short bursts!!

Finding people that understand that the best things in life are free aren't in abundance in dubai!!

Might be a good idea to go back home once in a while to get your batteries re-charged and your mind de-stressed.
