Confused NTSC vs. PAL May 12, 2008
Hi all, I am from the US and have recently bought a Sony 46W3000 LCD. I understand that this is a North American television using only NTSC, will this TV be completely useless in Dubai? I am entertaining and offer here and will need to factor in the fact that my home theater might not work there.

I assume I could bring my TV, PS3 and DVD player and use them in one room and buy a PAL television for watching local sat TV. Is there any other solution? I also assume that I can buy a high quality transformer to convert from 220v down to 110v. The TV is 220v but evertything else is 110

Bottom line is...Will my LCD and other toys be worthless for the next three years I live in Dubai?
