What are the minimum and maximum penalties for swearing to an individual in the UAE? I've got a court date for that coming up and I'm wondering what to expect.. A little freaked actually

No idea, depends on the judge, how he's feeling on the day and how much the national wants to punish you! For flicking the fingure, you can get a fine, jail time and even deportation.
