I want to go out to Dubai looking for work in June. What is the longest Visa I can get, and how do i go about it?

Depends on where you're coming from.

Try a visit visa - good for 60 days (not 2 months - be careful). Renewable twice, maybe longer for some countries.

Brilliant, thanks for the link, found that clarified a lot to me. Next question was I was going out to Dubai in either June or July to seek employment; how long would anyone advise going out there?

How long is a piece of string ?

A month should be long enough to either get a job, or be in a position to know if you'll get one.

fantastic, thats inspiring. Im going to book my flights now! also i am looking to buy a pay as you go style phone while im out there for the duration as to contact companies locally. where would i look for this? also is there a sim card that i can buy that would do this job?

There's 2 versions.

One for tourists you can buy at airport, forgotten name of service.
One called Al Wasel (from Etisalat telecom) you can buy at mobile phone shops. Du telecom also has a version.

Second is better (cheaper) and I think you can buy if you have visit visa (bring passport copy to shop). Du may be cheaper again but reception not as good.
