When you order a takeaway coffee - specially a cappuccino, how much froth should be on the top. Increasing in Dubai - the baristas? huh are following the book and making 1/3 coffee, 1/3 milk, 1/3 froth. this is wrong wrong wrong, it means that you are really getting just more than 1/2 a cup of coffee. Some chains in some locations are worse than others.

Do you complain? Get them to make another one?

My favorite is when I order a black coffee (if they have drip) and they leave the top 1/4 "for milk". I always hand it back and tell them to fillerup. Why is it as well when you order an "Americano" it is a few dhs. more than an espresso? Americano is only watered down espresso. (with tap water at that).

This barista people tends to think that since mostly these are coffee to go, customers wont make a fuzz over it. We need to complain right there and then let then realize that we not always into charity....

you guys get it good, kiss your chances of good coffee goodbye if you live in abu dhabi.

At the place I used to work at, they trained us to make the cappuccinos 1/2 and 1/2... 1/2 espresso and milk and 1/2 froth...

I have no idea, why still, after all these years of travelling and working in other countries I think that I am ever going to be able to buy a decent coffee anywhere else!

As long as they put a sprinkle of chocolate on top, I just drink it and try not to think of Allpress....

Well, Ive stopped going to this baristas and opted for hot (cocoa)chocolate, still looking for decent one though...

In all my visits to Australia, I guess I missed the coffee plantations. Did Juan Valdez move to Australia and change his name to Bruce?

I agree that Aus. has some good coffee shops, but if you like your coffee like me....black...nothing but coffee and cup, I have to disagree. Like here in DXB, they have no qualms about serving you instant coffee in a restaraunt and charging 3 bucks for it.

As far as anywhere in the world....I have had the good fortune of having Jablum Blue Mountain in Jamaica, as well as Costa Rican and Colombian coffee roasted by the growers in-country. They don't even offer sugar and cream, as that would be akin to putting ketchup on your finest cut of meat.

I agree that there are many places in the world that have 'good' coffee, and how you like to drink it will define the coffee you like to drink.

When we are talking coffee/milk/froth etc etc etc... you can't beat Australian baristas!

I made the mistake of asking for a Flat White at More the other day. I may as well have insulted the persons parentage for the reaction I got.

Apparently Flat White is not a coffee.

The best Coffee u get is from Indian Coffee House in India...

the best coffee is those from the machines in the petrol stations...

Instant 3 in 1 coffee is fine with me. No idea what a good coffee is.

Try the new cinnamon dolce latte from starbucks. They are quite drinkable. Just remember to ask for no whip cream and less foam !!
