I arrive early hours of 15th Feb to start work on 17th, need a mid range hotel for couple of nights, any recommendations please.

Also note some letting agents charge between 5-10% of years rental, is this not paid by person letting?

Ibis and Novotel are near Emirates Towers. Ibis is cheaper I think. Here's a list of some cheap hotels in Dubai.

No, in Dubai the agents fee is paid by the tenant

Greedy so and so, but more fool us for paying extortionate rents, 12 months upfront and agents fees as well, couldn't happen anywhere else
