I think this is disgustingly ugly. The Palms are nice... the world is OK... the universe is a complete joke.

Looks like someone smeared crap on a picasso.

I really think they should not do it... apart from the fact it looks like it was designed by a retarded midget with the intellect of a 4 year old crayon stabber - it just doesn't make sense.

I'm not exactly sure how it is for the greater good of anyone but Nakheel's coffers... and I'm even dubious about that.

No I don't think so. The gulf is not susceptible to tsunamis anyway due to the lack of water volume to build a big enough wave.

I don't get it... in one breath Nakheel launch a program for environmental sustainability and then simultaneous launch this.... this.... thing!!!

Look at puppet! look at the puppet! <-- points to anyone who can cite the quote.

I agree but the Persian Gulf/Arab Gulf..is on the same path as the so called Ring of Fire Volcanic activity....means susceptible to major earthquakes..

Hey man, that's one whacky website. We should all have been dead from the 2000 poles shift according to that site.

Can we get back to discussing how damn ugly this new 'project' from Nakheel is?

Earthquake is a very low low risk here... more like to be wiped out by a stray warhead when they nuke Iran.

Maybe..but still there is a risk .......as the plates continue to move (since its in the ring of fire)....the risk will never go away...

Well the 'need' part is always subjective.

My own thoughts are does it need to look like a hat full of assholes?

Being devils advocate, I suppose it makes sense. First build the palm on water. Second, build a World. Third, build an universe. I wonder they would consider Pluto as a planet or not !

Please people. You are scaring me I thought it was the Net Nannies posting.

Here is the scoop.

"The Universe"...Oh my God that is hedious (already said)...but maybe envoromentally concious (already said).

So here is what we'll do "think blue" (see gulfnews cover today)... we'll scale it down to just some environmetal features and...voila...Universe turns into a "blessing"...Anyone remember Palms (Jumeirah, Jebel Ali, Deira), World?...of course not..."Anyone remember laughter..."
