How can one person be so F()*$#)@*$)$ noisy!!!!

The person who lives in the apartment above me walks like an elephant, shouts when he talks, and doesn't get to bed until the wee small hours.

Time to do something about it.

That's is the most annoying fcking thing ever! I used to live in an appartment inhabited by 3 "buffalos - fat cows" who walked like buffalo. It was an old building with wooden floors... I complained, etc. but one of them was related to one of the buildins owners. The landlord offered to move me to another bigger apartment but I just moved the hell out.

It has to be a lot of noise since aren't the floors concrete. But you know how some of those crappy developers build

Maybe the building "by laws" require that the a certain % of floor area be carpeted, etc.

Want to borrow the shut gun?

There's so many clauses in the lease agreement it wouldn't be hard to get them on a violation... but diplomacy is the best initial tactic.

Yes, but it is a 13-1/2 hour flight away.


Use camel instead. should be easy.

I actually put up a sign in the lift last week about it, and someone wrote a note under it saying that it was pissing them off too, presumably a next door neighbour. This was my subtle hint.

It's standard thickness concrete floors/walls so you can imagine the noise must be (in)decent to penetrate in all directions.

Of course I will go and confront him if it continues, but one doesn't want to create unnecessary friction between neighbours.

Either that, or I will get the lease cancelled.

Some people, some times, are oblivious to how much noise they can make, especially if it's their first trot outside of an environment such as a family home or a villa.

If made aware, then they can subconciously alter their actions.

If not... well... then they need to be relocated.

But of course back to the heavy walking neighbour topic, instead of living in misery perhaps you should knock on the door and tell them politely. Best is wear your pyjamas, bring your stuffy nose, a mug of hot drink, blood shot eyes when you talk to him. Hopefully he will feel guilty. If things doesnt change then turn nasty.

p/s Make sure you sneeze on him before you leave too. For whats worth at least he gets your cold and will be spending the next few days in bed - quiet at last ?!

Well I do think also if someone have the decency to talk nicely then one will surely deserve a decent answer.

I've no clue what nationality they are. I think I know the species...I believe them be human beings ..

No fuss, I've had this couple of times from my next door beautiful russian girl .. at 3 in the morning shouting on phone... went straight out, knocked the door.. no one opened.. so just shouted from outside.. " Can you please keep your voice down.. I gotta get some sleep" . went to them again next day morning.. Told her politely.. look here lady, please keep your voice down.. please dont make me loose my sleep.

Never had a problem after that.. yeah ofcourse she stopped talking to me.
