First lets start with the show itself. Besides a slight delay the performance was good, no lighting or special effects, just good crowd rocking rap.
Oh yeah, the crowd.. When I arrived I saw a few of these little indian/local/pakistani kids all dressed like 50 cent. First I thought it was a joke that they were all playing. But then more arrived, most of them between 15-18 weighing no more than 110 lbs, walking like apes, saying thing like "yo you trippin' dog". Note the use of "trippin'" and not "tripping" because the addition of the letter "g" would not be consistent with the views of Dubai's urban youth demographic who tend to frown upon linguistic formalities such as proper enunciation. I mean, proper 'nunciation, yo!
No you're not "gangstas", you live with your mommies and daddies (who probably dropped you off to the concert) and go to a nice private school. You don't deal drugs or pimp hoes, and walking like a "thug" does not make you look tough, it makes you look like you just sh1t down your oversized pants hanging under your 26 inch waist.
We quickly left in the middle of the last song in order to avoid the herd. All in all it was a good experience, I would suggest having an over 21 age restriction for future such concerts.
