Can anybody give me a heads up on the legality of steroids in Dubai, a couple of freinds reckon you can get them over the counter and there legal there but wanted to get info from people actually living there.

the reason why ibuprofen is hard to get is because for colds and painkillers it is often combined with codine and this is a banned substance in Dubai although perfectly legal in UK

If you are desperate for them, i can bring you over a bundle (without the codine obviously) next time i am over

I believe your bags will be searched no matter what drugs you bring in bulk. My relatives had drugs thrown away by customs in front of them.

That is drug abuse by custom officials. Should not throw things...

There is no restrictions on analgesics as long as they dont contain banned substances like codine. So asprin, paracetemol and ibuprofen are fine in any quantity

yeah!! I brought in a lod of medicine the first time i came to dubai.

I just wish you could get decent aspirin in Dubai... not the kind that really fizzes... not the crap they pass off here.

Yeah I meant I want the kind that really does fizz. not the non-fizzy crap you find here. The best aspirin I ever got was in Paris... can you go there and grab some for me?

and........... no can do re Paris i'm affraid, i have never forgiven the French/Air France when we changed at Charles de Gaulle, me and the wife went to Cuba whilst our luggage went to Canada.

I like the Neurofen I have... its small, easy to swallow, taste like candy and works a treat.
